Teen Theatre Ensemble
The Teen Theatre Ensemble is a performance-based group for grades 7 and up that rehearses one night a week, and several select Saturdays throughout the year. TTE members will be featured in small-cast, full-scale productions to be performed in our very own black box theatre. Our Director, Music Director, and Choreographer will run rehearsals like the pros, and our performers will gain the education, tools, and confidence to perform more challenging and mature material. This group is a great opportunity for teens to hone their performance skills in a real-world theatre environment!
Our Show for 2023-2024
The Teen Theatre Ensemble show for 2024 is Mean Girls Jr! Based on the hit movie, the story follows Cady Heron, the new girl in town. She may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.
Access Broadway Competition
TTE will rehearse a medley of songs from the show to be taken to the Access Broadway Competition, a specialty Musical Theatre competition in Michigan! It is optional, but we hope everyone will choose to attend! An additional fee of $55/student will apply to attend the competition.
Travel and hotel not included.
